You can place this camera in your home, office, holiday villa, warehouse or anywhere else that you wish to keep an eye on, with no PCs required on location. They are easy to install, easy to operate and require no additional software for your viewing PC. All you need is a Internet Explorer Web browser as the camera is to be viewed and controlled from the browser.
Connecting the camera to the Internet requires an Internet account, and may require that you obtain additional hardware such as a cable or DSL modem, or a hub, switch or router with a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet connection. The camera will not be accessible across the Internet unless the Internet connection is active. The frame rate of the motion image viewed across the Internet is dependent upon the uplink (upload) speed of the Internet connection of your Internet service provider (ISP) and other factors.
Each type of network cameras offers different features to suit your needs, but all offer potential peace of mind. The camera comes with a package which includes one OLPL A/C adapter,a user manual, and a CD containing IP configuration software for easy installation.
The Outdoor Network IP Camera is a stand-alone device which allows a user to watch live and full-motion video from anywhere on a computer network or even over the Internet, using a standard Web browser. This device can be described as a camera and computer combined in one intelligent unit. The camera captures and sends live video directly over an IP network (e.g. LAN, WAN, intranet or Internet) and enables users to view and manage the camera through a Web browser or video management software on any local or remote computer on a network.
The system built in this product has been digitised with the introduction of network cameras incorporating onboard processors and Web server software. These network cameras can be connected directly to existing IP networks, eliminating the need for separate and expensive coaxial cable networks. Images can be viewed and cameras managed from anywhere via a Web browser, plus any hard disk on the network can be set up to record the video output.
Until recently, video security and surveillance started entering the digital age with the advent of CMOS sensors which digitise image capture in the camera. This IP security technology offers more cost-effective and future-proof solutions that bridge the gap between the analogue and digital worlds. Furthermore, the combination of the network cameras and a video server will be ideal solutions for sharing high-quality video streams over existing computer networks. Superior to analogue video solutions, IP surveillance means reliable and distributed access or recording of high quality digital images.
Note: Camera is PAL system, for use in Australia, UK, or most European countries that use PAL system .
